senior capstone: respecting roots
A guidebook that educates and informed those getting involved in the spiritual or wellness space on conscious purchasing practices.
Problem Space: Many U.S. citizens struggle when entering the space, especially when making purchasing decisions and knowing how to engage with practices and rituals in a respectful way that both honors and uplifts Black and Indigenous communties.
Design Solution: This guidebook serves to educate beginners on the historical context and significance of modern spiritual practices. By recognizing this history, readers can gain an appreciation for other cultures, while also discovering how to respectfully engage with metaphysical shops, crystal stores, various practices, and the like.
